In many parts of the world a good education is hard to come by, especially if you don’t have the proper funds and support to pursue your education. Delving further into the educational systems of these particular parts of the world we get to see that many of the people that are in these areas have a lack of exposure to the many opportunities that some of us take for granted.
For instance the unequal distribution of academic resources and lack of school funding brings about the future communities to have a higher chance of being historically disadvantaged and oppressed. It’s not as if they don’t want to get a higher level of education, but no matter the amount of effort they put into working their way up; the systemic educational inequity completely halts the standing point in which they’re at.
My own experience that I encountered was when I went to Bangladesh during a family vacation trip and got to see first hand what the educational system was like there. In Bangladesh they don’t have any form of technology that they learn with during school, which can be rather difficult when trying to teach many students with different learning styles. This may have changed a bit after the pandemic and having to quarantine at home, but it’s still an issue that needs to be addressed.
